About My Journey

My practical journey to become a registered counsellor was deeply formative.

I’m here, ready to listen.

My path began in the quiet, meaningful moments spent working with adolescents on the autism spectrum. It was in those moments that I truly understood the power of connection, and my heart knew its calling: to study psychology. I followed that call, earning my undergraduate degree and BPsych Equivalent Honours through the South African College of Applied Psychology.

I had the honour of holding space for young people at the Youth Hub at the Adolescent Centre of Excrescence and supporting clients at the Exercise Teachers Academy. These experiences taught me that growth often happens one gentle, courageous step at a time.

Today, I continue to walk alongside others in my volunteer work. At the Khethani Centre for Women’s Health and with Reach for Recovery, a breast cancer support group, I am reminded every day of the incredible strength that unfolds when we feel seen, safe, and supported.

If there’s one thing I believe, it’s this: you are not alone on this journey. Whether you’re navigating a challenging transition, seeking to understand yourself better, or building a life that feels authentically yours, you’ve got this. My role is to be that gentle, reassuring presence – to help you uncover the resilience that’s already within you.

Together, we can gently explore what’s on your heart and mind. I often draw on practical tools from CBT and ACT to help untangle overwhelming thoughts and foster a kinder relationship with yourself.

When Words Aren’t Enough

If words sometimes feel limiting, we might also invite creative or experiential approaches – like art or Gestalt techniques – to help you express and understand your inner world in new ways.
